What’s new — 21 September 2026
Section titled “What’s new — 21 September 2026”Form 4 Kenya 8-4-4 learners can now start reviewed KCSE source PDFs in a protected timed viewer. The five-year shelf begins with 122 verified standard papers, and creating a similar paper uses the aggregate pattern from every reviewed paper in the matching family.
Your shelf shows only approved papers for your grade, curriculum and school. You can filter by assessment, subject and year.
Form 4 learners on the Kenya 8-4-4 curriculum can receive approved KCSE papers alongside the KPSEA and KJSEA shelves. The KCSE register covers the five completed examination years 2021–2025. A timetable entry may appear in the staff coverage register before its PDF appears here: learners see a paper only after its source, publishing rights and exact file have been reviewed.
The five-year import currently contains 122 verified standard question papers: 29 from 2021, 26 from 2022, 32 from 2023, 26 from 2024 and 9 from 2025. Sixty-three have a reviewed marking or solution guide. Missing timetable variants remain visible to staff as gaps rather than being filled with an incomplete or wrongly labelled file.
Read or save a paper
Section titled “Read or save a paper”- Open reads the PDF inside ShuleOne.
- Save offline keeps an app-private copy so the paper can open without a connection.
- Marking scheme opens separately when an approved scheme is available.
ShuleOne does not show an export or share button for protected papers. Saving offline keeps the copy inside the app or browser store; it is not the same as downloading a file to share. As with any visible document, screenshots cannot be technically prevented.
Practise and track progress
Section titled “Practise and track progress”Choose Start to sit a supported paper:
- a fully transcribed paper opens in the exam player, where the sitting can be resumed, submitted and marked inside ShuleOne; or
- a verified source PDF opens in a protected timed viewer using the paper’s recorded examination duration. Have separate answer sheets ready. When time expires, the paper is hidden and the viewer tells you to put your pen down.
Automatic marking still requires an independently approved exact transcription and answer key. A timed PDF sitting does not invent answers from OCR. Open the separate marking guide after the sitting where one is available.
Practice a similar paper builds a digital practice paper from the source paper’s subject and assessment format. Where reviewed sources exist, ShuleOne checks every paper with the same assessment, subject and paper number, not only the card you opened. The confirmation names how many papers and which years were used. Only aggregate question-type and syllabus-frequency patterns guide the AI; source question wording and answers are not sent for generation. A reviewed PDF can contribute its non-copying structural profile even before it has an exact transcription.
After submitting the practice paper, open Progress report on the same shelf card to see:
- latest, best and average score;
- change since the previous marked attempt;
- whether each sitting was handed in within the server clock; and
- whether the attempt was an Exact source paper or AI-similar practice; and
- areas to strengthen, based only on questions carrying verified syllabus sub-strand tags.
Reading a PDF, completing a timed PDF sitting, opening a marking scheme or keeping a paper offline does not create a score. Only a submitted and marked digital sitting appears in the report.
Offline copies are account-bound. ShuleOne removes the signed-out account’s protected copies on logout or direct account switch and never exposes another account’s saved paper. During a temporary network outage, only a copy already saved under an explicit offline right can open, and ShuleOne labels the publishing-rights check as stale. A withdrawal or definitive access denial removes that protected copy. Question-paper and marking-scheme permissions are checked and removed independently.
